About Us

Hey there! I'm Diana — fiber artist, wool nerd, and the heart behind RetroMod Fiber Arts.
I'm based in Wisconsin and I love raw wool. There's something magical about taking a raw fleece and transforming it into something beautiful — and I never get tired of it! I don't have sheep of my own, but support local farmers as much as I can and care deeply about the ethical treatment of the animals behind every fleece.
I enjoy exploring different sheep breeds and learning hands on how unique each one can be. Different crimp, different texture, different personality — every breed and fleece has something to say, and I love listening.
From raw fleece, I spin, I felt, and I dye. Color is its own kind of magic for me — whether I'm pulling inspiration from nature, chasing something I've imagined, or stumbling into a beautiful surprise I never planned. You just never know what the dye pot has in store! I especially love wool locks, and you'll find them for sale in my shop — natural, dyed, and everything in between.
Needle felting is my jam, and I'm on a mission to share that joy through hands-on workshops and a shop full of supplies I actually use and love.
If you're a fellow fiber fanatic — or just wool-curious — you're in the right place. Come geek out with me. 🐑
